• Biomonitoring of lakes and rivers through the application of modern DNA-based methodology (metabarcoding).
• Research in the environmental biotechnology area. Bioremediation of contaminated soil, underground water and hazardous waste with microorganisms. Research of humic acids and their formation from oil contamination waste.
• Microbial degradation of microplastics.
• Development of organically bonded microelements for medicines, nutraceuticals, and the food industry.
• Development of infant formulae (isolation and application of bacterial cultures which are used for increasing of bifidogenic effect)
• Management of undergraduate and post-graduate student experimental work for diploma thesis in biotechnology and microbiological chemistry.
